As an approachable and supportive Psychotherapist, your wellbeing is my priority.
Whether you are looking for support for yourself or your relationship, I am here to help.
About Me
Hello, I’m Katharine, a fully qualified Psychotherapist and Counsellor based in Esher, Surrey. I am an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP Accred).
I am qualified and experienced in working with individuals and couples.
Life can be extremely complex and feel difficult at times. My aim is to be an approachable and professional support to guide you through any challenges you may find yourself experiencing. I truly care about my clients well-being and am committed to helping you be the best version of yourself.
It is important that you feel I am the right therapist for you. That is why I offer a free 15 minute initial consultation. This is not a therapy session but a way for us to meet and ensure you feel comfortable working together.
A Bit About Therapy
Sometimes difficult feelings and life circumstances or events can take us by surprise and leave us feeling lost, overwhelmed or out of control. When you are experiencing a stressful or challenging time in your life, talking to a professional therapist can help. Whether I am working with you as an individual or as a couple, my role is to support you to explore and make sense of yourself, your relationship, your ways of being. We will work through the barriers to getting your needs met and find a more positive way forward.
Services I Offer
Individuals and Couples
I am able to offer short or long term therapy for individuals and couples either in person or online through zoom.
Counselling or Psychotherapy
A Happier, Healthier You
Counselling usually addresses a specific problem, such as work related stress, relationship issues, panic attacks, worrying or unwanted thoughts and depression to name just a few. It will help you find better ways to cope. It is generally short term.
Psychotherapy focuses on a broader range of issues, which lead us to behave and think in certain ways. It is usually long term and offers a deeper personal insight.
Couples Therapy
Here For You
My role as a couples therapist is to understand the challenges within the relationship currently and make sense of what the relationship might need in order for it to be successful. I will be working to facilitate improved communication so that both individuals within the relationship can feel that they are able to get their needs met.
